Growing up too fast :(

The past 2 Saturdays were so pretty. A week ago Chloe and I stayed outside and played for 4 hours! She rode her tricycle, drove her Barbie Jeep, drove her Barbie 4 wheeler, played on the swingset and wrote on the driveway with chalk. This past Saturday she rode her tricycle around the neighborhood. I guess I overestimated the distance we should go---I ended up carrying the tricycle about a block because she was tired of peddaling. She got her Radio Flyer from Memaw for her 2nd birthday. I tried and tried to teach her how to pedal. A couple of months ago when I picked her up from school I walked out to the playground to find Chloe riding the tricycle at school. I was so proud of her and a wee bit sad that I wasn't there to see her figure it out.

The tricycle has a horrendous squeak. According to Chloe we need to "Doyle" it to make the squeak stop. I think this is so funny because I have an uncle named Doyle :)

The only problem with spending hours outside is coming back inside. I carried Chloe home kicking and screaming all the way from the other end of the cul-de-sac. I can't make her understand that it is time to go home and that we can go outside again on another day. It is heartbreaking!

On Sunday I had to run up to the office to do something. I decided I would take Chloe and try to clean her teeth. The scene has played in my head many times--lots of tears and an upset mommy. Because it was starting to get dark Brandon decided he would go so I could clean his teeth. When we got there Chloe hopped in the chair without me even telling her to.

Ok, she knew she was supposed to sit there she just didn't know how! Believe it or not I have adult patients that actually will sit in the chair like this. I think to myself Are you serious? People can be so dumb sometimes. Anyways, I laid the chair back hoping for the best.

Ta-Da! She didn't freak out! I counted her teeth, scraped on them a little and even polished all 17 of them!! She was also cool with me spraying the water and then suctioning it out! I was in complete awe. It made me realize just how much she has grown up. :(

Christmas 2010--wheww, glad it's over :)

Christmas 2010 was very nice. Very low key and relaxing. Our festivities began on December 11th in Waco with PoPo & Grammy. On Christmas Eve, MiMi and PawPaw spent the night. Christmas day we opened gifts then had dinner at Aunt Holli and Uncle Mike's. January 15th we headed to Waco to exchange our gifts with MeMaw & PaPaw and to celebrate MeMaw's birthday. On January 21st we celebrated with Aunt Karen & Uncle Roger, Casey, Amber and cousin Randi, Corey, Carrie and cousins Carson and Colton at Aunt Holli & Uncle Mike's house. Here are some pictures from all of our Christmas fun!

Santa brought Chloe a swing set. She loves it!

MiMi and PawPaw got Chloe an awesome kitchen! Faux granite counter tops, working cabinets and drawers, microwave, oven, dishwasher, fridge, pan that sizzles and pot that bubbles. What more could a girl ask for?

Aunt Kristi, Uncle Kyle and cousin Konner got Chloe this adorable apron set.

Trying to get a picture of the Triplets and Chloe is IMPOSSIBLE! Getting them all to look at the same time is very difficult.

Counting her money!

Melissa & Doug wooden cupcake set from Carrie, Corey, Carson and Colton. Sooo cute!!

Apparently Santa thought that the hubby had been good in 2010.

Trying to blog......and Chloe's Birthday

I created this blog in June of 2010. Where are all my entries?? Well, I couldn't figure it out. This past Friday I got a quick tutorial from my wonderful sister-n-law, Holli! Thanks Holli! I wasn't sure where to start.....the day I got married? that would take too long.....hygiene school?? too much craziness to report about.....new house? nah.....when I got pregnant? that was almost 4 years ago!!.....the birth of Chloe? birthday 1 or 2??......I should have started long ago if I wanted to blog about all of that. So, I have decided to start with my baby Chloe's 3rd birthday and Christmas 2010. I like to think that I am such a busy person that I don't have time for a blog-- you know 4 day work weeks at 31 hours, a very busy 3 year old, a house to maintain, dinner to cook....blah, blah, blah...well it turns out that I have plenty of time---lucky you! So here goes nothing :)

Chloe's actual birthday was on a Wednesday. On Tuesday she helped me make cupcakes for her class. She had to sample the batter----just in case!

MiMi surprised Chloe by picking her up from school and taking her to McDonalds! We sang Happy Birthday and let her blow out candles. For several months before her birthday, Chloe would keep asking when it was going to be her birthday. Obviously explaining an amount of time to an almost 3 year old is a lost cause. All the birthday parties that we attended in the months before December, the birthday boy/girl would blow out their candles and then we would re-light them so Chloe could blow them out.

We had Chloe's birthday party at Cypress Academy of Gymnastics. What a fun place! Cousins: Randi, Carson, Madison, Jack, Braydon, Alyssa and special friend Evah joined in the fun. We had pizza and cupcakes. Chloe got lots of awesome gifts.
